The Department of Health has launched a new grants program, the Healthy Tasmania Fund, providing grant funding to community organisations to improve the health and wellbeing of their communities. Grants up to $200,000 will be available for projects or initiatives up to two years in duration, with a focus on one or more of the following areas:
- reducing smoking
- reducing obesity and the levels of overweight Tasmanians
- improving healthy eating and/or physical activity.
