Labor’s Sarah Lovell is once again deliberately peddling misinformation, as the Government publicly communicated the stand down of this particular public service employee last month.

We are being as transparent as legally possible, unlike the Labor Party which, when in Government during their last three years stood down around 40 staff, a number of which related to allegations of child sex abuse, and not once did they publicly report or communicate the stand downs.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government took decisive action to increase transparency by alerting the public about the standing down of state service employees in relation to allegations of sexual abuse of misconduct.

It is incomprehensible that Rebecca White and the Labor Party are continuing to peddle misinformation relating to these very serious stand downs.

This issue is the most serious in nature, and is now the subject of a Commission of Inquiry into the Responses of Tasmanian Government Institutions to Child Sexual Abuse.
